This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents are the product of the author's imagination. All characters are adults aged 18 or over.

Daniel had been married for five years to Emma, a housewife who often wondered why he worked late so frequently. As a regional salesman for a medical supply company, he spent most of his weeks driving between client sites across the province—long hours on the road that gave him plenty of time to himself. That particular Tuesday afternoon, he found himself with a few hours to kill between appointments in the Mokdong area, so he opened a dating app on his phone, just to see who was around.

A 32-year-old woman had just joined. Her profile read something like "Looking for someone to talk to..."

He asked why she was lonely, and she explained she'd been divorced for about a year. She worked at a small office in Ilsan, handling administrative work for a local company. Daniel found himself genuinely interested—she was independent, lived alone in a one-bedroom apartment in the district, and had a quiet dignity about her.

After some messaging back and forth, they agreed to meet in person.

Daniel lived in Gwacheon, and since she worked in Ilsan, they settled on Mokdong as a convenient midpoint. He told Emma he was heading to a client meeting in Suwon and drove straight to their meeting point.

He arrived about twenty minutes early and waited. When she appeared, he found himself pleasantly surprised. She had a warm, open face with delicate features, and her short, dyed hair gave her a youthful energy—though her mature bearing made it clear she was a working woman, not a student. Her skin was remarkably clear and pale, the kind that suggested she took care of herself.

Daniel had always been drawn to women with porcelain skin, and he found himself wondering what she looked like beneath her clothes.

"Would you like to grab dinner?" he asked.

"Actually, would you mind if we just had a beer first?" she replied. "I'm not really hungry yet."

He agreed, and they found a quiet bar where they could talk. Over a couple of drinks, she opened up about her divorce—how her husband had been unfaithful, how she'd felt invisible for years before finally finding the strength to leave. She needed someone to listen, she admitted. It had been months since she'd had a real conversation with anyone who cared.

Daniel understood that. Sometimes people just needed an ear.

After a few hours of talking, he found himself genuinely drawn to her. She wasn't the type to sleep with just anyone—she'd made that clear. Her marriage had been cold, and she'd never experienced real passion. She said she despised the idea of hooking up with strangers.

But there was something between them, a connection that felt mutual.

As they left the bar and walked down the street, Daniel paused and turned to face her.

"I've really enjoyed tonight," he said, his voice low. "I'd like to see you again. Would you be open to that?"

She looked at him for a long moment, then smiled softly. "I had a nice time too."

He leaned in slowly, giving her every chance to pull away. When she didn't, he kissed her—gently at first, then with more intensity when she responded. Her hands came up to rest on his chest, and she kissed him back.

They stood there in the quiet street, wrapped in each other, for several minutes. When they finally broke apart, she was blushing.

"This is unexpected," she murmured.

"Good unexpected?" he asked.

She laughed softly. "Yes."

He took her hand, and they walked together to a seolleongtang restaurant nearby—second floor for dining, first floor with a small parking area. They found a quiet corner and talked for another hour, the tension between them growing.

"Would you like to continue this somewhere more private?" he asked eventually.

She bit her lip, considering. "My place is small, but..."

"Or we could find a hotel," he suggested. "Whatever you're comfortable with."

She nodded. "A hotel, then."

They walked to a nearby love motel, their fingers intertwined. At the reception, she waited while he handled the check-in, then followed him to their room.

Once inside, the atmosphere shifted. She stood by the window, looking out at the city lights, her arms wrapped around herself.

"It's been a long time for me," she admitted quietly. "I'm a little nervous."

Daniel approached slowly, respecting her space. "We don't have to do anything you're not ready for. We can just talk, or I can go."

She turned to face him. "I don't want you to go."

He closed the distance between them and kissed her again, more deeply this time. She responded immediately, her hands sliding around his neck. He ran his fingers through her hair, then slowly, carefully, began to undress her—asking with his eyes at each step, waiting for her nod before proceeding.

When they were both bare, he laid her down on the bed and took his time exploring her body with his hands and mouth. She arched toward him, her breath quickening.

"Is this okay?" he asked.

"Yes," she breathed. "Don't stop."

He continued, bringing her to the edge again and again, until she was practically begging.

"Please," she gasped. "I need you inside me."

"Tell me what you want," he said.

"You. I want you. Please."

He positioned himself at her entrance and slowly pushed in, watching her face for any sign of discomfort. She wrapped her legs around him, pulling him deeper.

"More," she whispered. "Harder."

He obliged, and they found a rhythm together that built toward something intense. She clawed at his back, her moans growing louder.

"I'm close," she warned.

"Come for me," he urged. "Let go."

She shattered around him, her body trembling with release. He followed moments later, collapsing beside her in the dark.

They lay there for a long time, catching their breath, her head on his chest.

"That was..." she started.

"Yeah," he agreed.

She laughed softly. "I haven't felt like that in years."

"Neither have I."

They fell asleep tangled together and woke around midnight, hungry again—for each other and for food. They ordered room service and spent the next few hours rediscovering each other's bodies, taking turns initiating, always checking in to make sure the other was comfortable.

By morning, they'd lost track of how many times they'd been together.

After that first night, they continued seeing each other for about a month—meeting whenever his work schedule allowed, which was nearly every day. She started coming to his office in Gwacheon during her lunch breaks, and sometimes he'd visit her in Ilsan after she finished work.

She wanted to talk about the future, about what they were to each other. Daniel had been honest from the beginning about not looking for anything serious—he'd told her he wasn't interested in marriage again—but she seemed to think that could change.

In the end, he had to end it. It wasn't fair to keep leading her on when he knew he couldn't give her what she wanted.

It was over.
