Smutlore is an adults-only platform for reading written fiction in English, Spanish and Russian. These Terms govern your use of the site. By using Smutlore you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the site.

Adults only

You may use Smutlore only if you are at least 18 years old and adult fiction is lawful where you live. The age confirmation on the site does not replace your own responsibility to comply with local law.

What the service is today

Reading is free and requires no account. The catalogue is published by the operator: it consists of works licensed from their original authors and translated with permission. Open author sign-up is not available, and publishing access is granted individually.

There are no payments on Smutlore. Subscriptions, tipping and author payouts do not exist yet. Neither does uploading of images or video by users. If any of that launches, these Terms will be updated first.

Accounts

An account is optional and is used only for reader features. Sign-in works by a single-use link sent to your email address; there is no password. Keep access to your inbox secure, as anyone holding it can sign in. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, the Content Policy or the law.

Content you submit

You keep ownership of anything you write. By submitting it you allow us to store, display, format, index and moderate it so the site can operate, and to keep moderation and copyright records after removal where we are required or reasonably need to.

You confirm that you are 18 or older, that the material is yours to submit, and that it complies with our Content Policy.

What is not allowed

You must not submit or request sexual content involving minors in any form, including fictional or implied; sexual content about a real identifiable person without their consent; content depicting real non-consensual acts or bestiality; material that infringes someone's rights; or threats, harassment or doxxing. You must not bypass the age gate or our security and moderation controls, scrape or mirror the site, or interfere with its operation.

Moderation

We may review, restrict, withhold, remove or refuse any content, with or without notice, and we are not obliged to host anything. Where material appears to involve minors or other serious illegal content, we remove or quarantine it and report it to the authorities where required.

Copyright

Our DMCA and Copyright Policy explains how to send a takedown notice or a counter-notice. We may withdraw publishing access for repeat infringement, or for a single serious infringement.

Advertising and third parties

Smutlore may display advertising and relies on third-party providers for hosting, delivery and email. Those providers handle data under their own terms; our Privacy Policy names them.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Smutlore is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that any particular work will stay published. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea, where the operator is established. This does not remove consumer protections that apply to you where you live and cannot be set aside by agreement.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the dates above, and continuing to use Smutlore after they take effect means you accept them.
